When it comes to Malta, the places to visit are definitely at the base of the capital Valletta. There is a very interesting detail here both for the dominance of the island and for Europe’s first “pre-planned and then-built” icon.
The city is covered with very high walls to be sheltered in battle. This wall is not an ordinary wall made of bricks. These are the very strong walls formed by cutting / sculpting the hill called “Sciberras Hill“.
Valletta is located in the central eastern part of the island and hosts one of the most important natural deep harbors of the world (Grand Harbor). From Jean de Valletta on Republic Street, you can see the park with the best view of Upper Barrakka in 5 minutes and you can see the harbor from there.
It is very easy to find an auto bus to Valletta from anywhere in the island because the big bus terminal in Valletta. Although I have already said that my collective, transport there is bad, the same thing is not enough for Valletta. As every bus comes here, you can see the Valletta post on the bus, and you can get on the bus.
Like I said the big terminal here, it will be the last stop where you will land. When you go up and down the motorway and you go straight to the crowded place, you will arrive at the place called Maltese “City Gate” (city gate).
There is no door at the entrance of the valet at the moment but There was a door at the entrance of Valletta until 4-5 years ago. But at that time, under the name of government restoration, this door was destroyed and the entrance of the city became new on the right. (This is the City Gate’s historic headline, the reason for the biography).
City Gate “Republic Street“, as I mentioned earlier, when you go to see the long street name. This is the city’s main vessel and From here the streets turn left and right in the shape of a maze.
I was not kidding when I said “it was planned before and afterwards,” Valletta was once again drawn / planned on paper and later built. If you look at it from the map, you will see it great street, like a computer game. This city is really hand drawn.
There is a small and big church in the city, but most important is St John’s cathedral with its dome, even seen from Sliema.
Restaurant, pizzeria, ice cream shop, coffee shop, you can find the place on Republic Street.
